Mc Chouffe

The Belgian Interpretation of a Scottish ale

Μc Chouffe is a Belgian style interpretation of a Scottish Ale. For that reason the elf in the label wears a classic Scottish kilt!

It is an unfiltered dark beer that in fact combines characteristics of both styles, from the dark brown chocolate color of Belgian Abbey style ale, to the malty sweetness of Scottish ale.

Taste-wise, one can recognize some chocolate as well some spicy notes.

Mc Chouffe won the Gold Medal for best Abbey Style ale at Eurobiere, Strasbourg, 1999.
